A positive outcome for Ferrari, with a second and third place in the SGT class in Race 1 and a clean sweep of the top three places in Race 2 in the opening round of the 13th running of the Spanish GT Championship. The first round of the year took place at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo circuit and in the fifty minutes of Race 1 this morning, the F430 GT2 of Brain Lavio and Alan Sicart (RSV Motorsport) crossed the line second in class right behind the Drivex School Porsche and ahead of the Ferrari driven by Alvaro Fontes and Jesus Diez Villarroel (Jesus Diez Villarroel.) In the second leg, the podium was an all-Ferrari affair thanks to a win for Celso Miguez and Hugo Godinho (Aurora Energy D) who won the event outright, followed by the duo of Alvaro Fontes and Jesus Diez Villarroel (Jesus Diez Villarroel) and Brain Lavio and Alan Sicart, also in F430 GT2 cars.

The Spanish series will be back in action for round 2 over the weekend of 29 May at the Jarama circuit.
