Maranello has its own Scuderia Ferrari Club

Maranello, 14th February 2006 - Maranello has its own Scuderia Ferrari Club. The club was founded today by the former mayor of Maranello, Giancarlo Bertacchini. Bertacchini is warmly considered among racing fans for having supported Ferrari in its difficult times and for flanking the Prancing Horse in its more successful years. The setting up of the club is an important step and occurs at a time in which, after a long series of talks with the old clubs, the new fans' groups have been set up. The new organisation restores order in the relations with the Prancing Horse. The club's base will remain the Zanasi di Maranello coachworks and its owners, Umberto and Marco, are to be the vice-presidents of the new club. Andrea Montermini, a driver with a long association with Ferrari, is one of the members. The establishment of the Scuderia Ferrari Club Maranello was announced by the Direttore Generale Jean Todt and team manager, Stefano Domenicali. The club was unveiled on St Valentine's day, symbol of the mutual love that exists between Maranello and Ferrari.
