Unexpected test for Valentino Rossi with the MC12
10/02/2006 - Misano - Today Valentino Rossi drove 14 laps in the Racing Box MC12 at Misano. He clocked a time of 1.27, a time on a par with the other drivers who took to the track yesterday and today in the other Racing Box and PlayTeam cars. The teams are in preparation for the upcoming Italian GT championship.
The test was made more agreeable by the fact that Arianna Matteuzzi, daughter of Gabriele Matteuzzi, is Valentino Rossi's girlfriend. Gabriele Matteuzzi shared the drive in 2005 with Piergiuseppe Perazzini. The test was not planned and it was Rossi's passion for cars that was the motivation for the MC12 drive.
There are no photos of Rossi in the driving seat as he had requested that none be taken.
