New online initiatives for Ferrari fans

The website Ferrari.com dedicates two new online initiatives to the fans and enthusiasts of the Prancing Horse. One month after the presentation of the Ferrari Virtual Academy on the occasion of the Italian Grand Prix, a second release for the first online simulator from the Prancing Horse is now available online, offering the fans all over the world the unique opportunity to experience the driving pleasure behind the wheel of a F10 single-seater with updated aerodynamic set up and a software with new functionality, on the Autodromo Internazionale in Mugello. As of today the software update is available on www.ferrarivirtualacademy.com with the race track in Tuscany, new driving controls regarding the differential's blocking during braking (8 set ups) and during acceleration (8 set ups) as well as an engine brake (4 set ups). This time the lap time to beat is 1.19.170 set by Fernando Alonso.
Mugello is the second test session, which will be followed as of 11 November by the third, held at the Nürburgring, to participate in the extraordinary competition, awarding an extraordinary prize the five fastest drivers in the world at the end of the year. The five winners will be able to take part in a test session with the Ferrari Driver Academy, the programme launched by the Scuderia Ferrari at the end of 2009, regarding the selection and formation of young talents in the world of motorsport.
The 2010 Ferrari Virtual Academy can be purchased and downloaded directly online on the website www.ferrarivirtualacademy.com for Euro 19.90 for the complete package including Fiorano & Mugello and for only Euro 9.90 for the Mugello update.
Furthermore – as of today – the “Gran Premio Galleria Ferrari”, the new competition around the museum from the Prancing Horse, dedicated to residents in Italy, is online. The winner will fly to Valencia for the Finali Mondali Ferrari. Until 2 November 2010 registered fans can participate on www.vincicongalleriaferrari.com, dedicated to the initiative, in a quiz with 16 questions around Ferrari and Formula 1 from the following categories: the history of the Scuderia Ferrari, records gained by Ferrari over the last 60 years in the Formula 1 Championship, the most important technological innovations by Ferrari as well as safety, drivers, circuits and the cars. The classification of the best and fastest will be published on the competition’s website and can be shared on Facebook. All participants – regardless of the results – will take part in a draw for the top prize from the Galleria Ferrari on 3 November 2010: a weekend in Valencia on the occasion of the Finali Mondiali Ferrari from 27 to 28 November bringing together the participants from all motorsport activities and amateurs from the Prancing Horse.
