Japanese GP - Alonso third and Massa out on the first lap

Eighth podium of the season for Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso at the Japanese Grand Prix, the sixteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship, here in Suzuka. The Spaniard’s F10 crossed the finish line in third place behind the two Red Bulls of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber. In the other Ferrari, Felipe Massa’s race was over on the opening lap, as he was forced to retire after colliding with Vitantonio Liuzzi’s Force India at the first corner.
The sound of Formula 1 engines will be heard again over the weekend of 24 October, with the debut of the Korean Grand Prix at the Yeongam circuit.
