Ferrari Challenge arrives in Vallelunga

Over the weekend of 10 October, Vallelunga’s Pietro Taruffi Circuit will host the sixth round of this season’s Italian Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, the last appearance of the F430 Challenge cars prior to the World Finals, which take place at Valencia from 25 to 28 November. Going into the Italian round, Stefano Gai (Rossocorsa) heads the classification in the main Trofeo Pirelli category on 120 points, ahead of Andrea Belluzzi (Motor/Modena) on 112 and Giorgio Sernagiotto (Motor/Piacenza) on 108. The Coppa Shell is also very open, with Andrea Rizzoli (Motor/Piacenza) in the lead on 106 points followed by two Motor/Malucelli drivers, Flavio Pierleoni (102) and Massimo Mantovani (93.) The event gets underway on Saturday 9 October with a day of free practice and qualifying, followed on Sunday by two races which see both categories compete on the same grid but with different classifications.
