Next weekend, the French Paul Ricard HTTT circuit at Le Castellet will host the sixth and penultimate round of the European series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli. After that, the drivers and their F430 Challenge cars will just have to tackle the World Finals for the one-make series at Valencia.

Going into the French round, Austria’s Philipp Baron (Baron Service) heads the classification in the main category of the Trofeo Pirelli, on 137 points, ahead of Germany’s Bjorn Grossman of Autohaus Gohm (102) and Max Blancardi in the Motor/Malucelli car on 96. Leading the gentleman drivers in the Coppa Shell is Hungary’s Tibor Valint (Warm Up) on 87 points, followed by fellow countryman Wido Roessler of the Tamsen team on 83 and Russia’s Aleksandr Skryabin (83) driving for Ferrari Moskow.

The event gets underway on Saturday 18 September, with practice and qualifying, followed on Sunday by two races, in which the two categories are combined, but with separate classifications.
