Ferrari Racing Days returns to Budapest

Maranello, 11 August

After the long summer break, it falls to Hungary to host the return to track activity for Ferrari Corse Clienti, with the third round of this year’s Ferrari Racing Days, at the Hungaroring circuit. From 3 to 5 September, the Magyar track will be the backdrop for the fifth round of the Italian and European Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, after July witnessed rounds in Mugello and Valencia. In action alongside the F430 Challenge cars, competing in two qualifying sessions and races, will be the cars running in the non-competitive programmes, organised by the Corse Clienti Department of Maranello: several Ferrari FXX, 599XX and historic Formula 1 cars will take turns on track for some free practice sessions. A special guest at the event will be Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro driver Felipe Massa, who returns to Budapest to greet the Prancing Horse enthusiasts.

The event gets underway on Friday 3 September with free practice and qualifying, ahead of two races scheduled over the weekend. The Trofeo Pirelli competitors and the gentleman drivers in the Coppa Shell will compete together in two races, but with separate classifications.

As usual, the two Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli races in the Italian series will be shown live on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September on Sky Sport.
