Hungarian GP - Programme completed

Hungaroring, July 30

The Ferraris of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa recorded the second and fourth fastest times at Budapest at the end of Friday’s second session of free practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix. This is the 12th round of the Formula 1 world championship scheduled for Sunday at the Hungaroring track.

The Red Bull of Sebastian Vettel set the fastest time of the day with 1.20.087, ahead of the F10 of Alonso (1.20.584), Mark Webber’s Red Bull (1.20.597) and the other Ferrari of Massa (1.20.986). In this afternoon session the team concentrated on set-up work, completing the planned programme with solid results. Both cars tried both types of tyre compound, hard and soft, with different fuel loads in preparation for qualifying and the race.

The final hour of free practice will take place tomorrow in preparation for the all-important qualifying session, scheduled for 2pm.
