ALMS – Ferrari third in qualifying at Lime Rock Park

Ferrari n°62, entered by the Risi Competizione team, set the third fastest time in qualifying in the GT category at the Lime Rock Park circuit, at Lakeville, Connecticut, for the fifth round of the American Le Mans Series.
The session was blighted by rain and the now solid crew of Gimmi Bruni and Jaime Melo ended up behind two Porsche 911s of Joerg Bergmeister-Patrick Long and Bryan Sellers-Wolf Henzler and ahead of the second of the Houston-based Ferraris, in the hands of Mika Salo and Pierre Kaffer.
Rain played a key role throughout the whole weekend so far, even though the forecast for the race is that it should be dry, so that it could be something of a lottery for everyone…
