Turkish GP – Turkish disappointment

Great disappointment for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro in qualifying for the Turkish Grand Prix. Felipe Massa could do no better than eighth in Q3, while Fernando Alonso did not even get to this part of the session, having set the twelfth quickest time in Q2. Therefore the Prancing Horse can expect an uphill struggle tomorrow on the day it celebrates its eight hundredth Grand Prix in the world championship.
At the end of the third part of qualifying, to decide on grid positions, Mark Webber (1.26.295) was quickest for Red Bull, taking pole position ahead of Lewis Hamilton in the McLaren (1.26.433) and his team-mate Sebastian Vettel (1.26.760.)
