European Ferrari Challenge at Portimão

Next weekend, the Portimao circuit hosts the second round of the European series of the 2010 Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy, on the same card as the fourth round of the Superstars GT Sprint, the Grand Touring championship which sees the F430 GT2 cars taking part.
In total, 25 cars will take to the track starting on Saturday 22 May, for one free practice and two qualifying sessions, prior to the races on Sunday 23 May. Competitors in the main category of the Pirelli Trophy will race alongside the gentleman drivers of the Shell Cup in two races featuring two separate classes.
Going into the Portuguese round, Austria’s Philipp Baron (Baron Service) is at the top of the points table in the European Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy, while the Shell Cup classification is headed by England’s Oliver Morley (Motor/Malucelli.)
