GT OPEN – every step of the podium

This past weekend, Germany’s Nurburgring circuit hosted the second round of the International GT Open championship and Ferrari made it to every step of the podium over the two races, finishing second and third in Race 1 and winning Race 2.

The first race saw victory go to the Porsche 911 of Raymond Narac and Patrick Pilet, which after a closely fought duel with the Raffaele Giammaria – Enrico Toccacelo F430, entered by the EdliCris team, which finished third, then got the better of the other CRS Racing entered Ferrari, crewed by Tim Mullen and Chris Niarchos that crossed the line in second place. The second event was won by the pole sitters, Alvara Barba and Pierre Kaffer, who came home ahead of the two Porsches of Richard Lietz-Gianluca Roda and Raymond Narac-Patrick Pilet. This victory means the AF Corse crew consolidates its lead in the overall classification on 70 points, leading the Porsches of Pilet-Narac and Roda-Lietz by 16 and 18 points respectively.

Competitors in the Spanish series will be back in action over the weekend of 23 May at Imola’s Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit.
