F430 wins in Valencia

Ferrari concluded race 1 with a hat trick and was victorious in race 2 at the Spanish GT Open Championship at this season’s first race held on Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo circuit. The F430 GT2 with Alvaro Barba and Pierre Kaffer behind the wheel gained first place in its category in both races: the excellent duo, supported by the AF Corse team, confirmed the pole position conquered in the qualifying, winning the first race ahead of the other two Ferraris with Alvaro Parente-Francisco Cruz-Martins (Art) and Raffaele Giammaria-Enrico Toccacelo/(EdilCris), and the second race ahead of the Porsche 911 with Raymond Narac-Patrick Pilet and the second F430 started by the Art team, driven by Juan Manel Lopez and Manuel Gião.
The Spanish racing series will be back on the track for its second race in the season at the German Nürburgring on the weekend of 2 May.
