Ferrari 599GTO debuts at Modena's military Academy

First outing for the 599 GTO, which will be the centre of attention during an exclusive gala for Ferrari clients from all over the world at Modena’s impressive Military Academy, in the presence of Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo.
Around 500 invited guests will be able to admire the most powerful car ever built by the Prancing Horse, sporting the initials GTO (Gran Turismo Omologata), in a preview. So far there are only two GTOs in the history of the Prancing Horse: the 1962 250 GTO and the 1984 GTO.
The 599 GTO, a special series limited to 599, is already a record holder: the fastest lap on the Fiorano race track amongst the road cars produced by Ferrari: 1 minute 24 seconds.
