Last round of testing before Qatar
Ducati and Honda in Valencia, and Yamaha in Qatar for the last round of testing.
With the 2006 World SBK Championship due to start in under a month, teams are seizing the last chance to test their bikes before they are packed off for first race in Qatar on the 25th of February. Most teams have chosen the Valencia circuit in Spain. Ducati Xerox (Bayliss and Lanzi), Honda Ten Kate (Toseland and Muggeridge), Ducati Sterilgarda Berik (Borciani), Ducati Pedercini (Clementi and Pedercini), Ducati SC (Rolfo) and Suzuki Alstare (Foret) will all be fine-tuning there on the 6th and 7th of February. Yamaha Motor Italia (Haga and Pitt) and Honda DFX (Chili and Fabrizio) have preferred to go directly to Qatar for three days of testing on the Losail circuit from the 5th to the 7th of February.
