ALMS – A new challenge for Bruni and Melo in Long Beach

After their success at the 12 Hours of Sebring, the American Le Mans Series' opening race, the Ferrari Risi Competizione team is getting ready for one of the series' most difficult races, held on the legendary city circuit of Long Beach, in California. On this track, often compared to Monte Carlo due to its difficulty, the team from Houston gained second place last year at the end of a fierce race. Meanwhile the drivers' couple Jaime Melo and Gimmi Bruni hope to repeat their success from 2007.
Bruni will go onto the track on Friday gaining confidence with the car and especially with the track, while his teammate will try to give it all to place the F430 GT in the first row of the GT class for the race, held on Saturday 17 April.
Both drivers are optimistic as far as the race is concerned. Jaime Melo said: "Long Beach is a difficult track, but not as difficult as Sebring. Our car is performing really well, also thanks to the work done last year”. Gianmaria Bruni: "I really like city circuits. The team is working on a good set up for the car so that Melo can be the fastest”.
