Malaysian GP - All very close in the dry

The final hour of free practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix has just ended in the cauldron of Sepang, the scene of the third round of the Formula 1 World Championship, which today saw track temperatures reach 43°. All through the sixty minutes, menacing rain clouds hovered over the track, possibly posing a threat to this afternoon's qualifying. This morning, first and third quickest times went to the Red Bulls of Mark Webber (1.33.542) and Sebastian Vettel (1.33.587,) with Lewis Hamilton squeezing his McLaren between the two team-mates in 1.33.559. The times are very close, with the top eight all within six tenths, and Fernando Alonso steered his F10 to fourth fastest in 1.33.751, completing 19 laps, while team-mate Felipe Massa was eighth, with a best time of 1.34.174 out of 15 laps.
