Australian GP – An unpredictable race

The second round of the Formula 1 World Championship, the Australian Grand Prix, produced a really unpredictable result, having just ended here in Melbourne’s Albert Park. Both Ferrari men did a good job of managing a race complicated by the rain which came just a few minutes before the lights went out, which was followed by a very busy start, that saw Fernando Alonso spin following a collision with Button, while team-mate Felipe Massa went from fifth to second. The Brazilian finished third to step on the podium for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, in a race that went to McLaren’s Jenson Button. Second was Robert Kubica in the Renault, while Fernando Alonso finished fourth, after a thrilling climb back up the order.
The sound of Formula 1 engines will be heard again in just a few days in Sepang, with the third round of the year taking place at the Malaysian circuit.
