Lasting success for F430

Maranello (Modena), 21 March

Thanks to the victory yesterday at the 12 Hours of Sebring, the spectacular endurance race, the first round of the prestigious American Le Mans Series, the F430 GT2 from the Risi Competizione team has now three wins in a row since 2008. At the end of the race in Florida, which lasted from 10:30am to 10:30pm, the car started by the Ferrari Houston team and excellently driven by Jaime Melo, Gianmaria Bruni and Pierre Kaffer, crossed the line in sixth overall place after 331 laps or 1,970 kilometres, ahead of the two BMW with Bill Auberlen – Tommy Milner – Dirk Werner and Dirk Müller – Joey Hand – Andy Priaulx. Great enthusiasm for team principal Giuseppe Risi, who, at the end of the race, underlined together with his equipe the importance of such a good start into the season and how the F430 is still such an extraordinarily competitive car.

The series’ next race will be held on the city circuit of Long Beach in California on 17 April.
