The Automobile Club more l’Ouest will continue with the format established in 2005, with a Test Day that will take place two weeks before the race. The Test Day will therefore be held on Sunday June 4th 2006.

(2) Intersport Racing having won the Petit Le Mans and the overall classification of the ALMS, Miracle Motorsports qualifies thanks to its second place in the overall classification of the ALMS. (3) The first two entrants – rather than cars – in the 24 Heures du Mans qualify. Aston Martin, 3rd behind the two leading Corvettes of Corvette Racing, therefore qualifies on the basis of its position as second-placed entrant. (4) Corvette Racing having won the Petit Le Mans and the overall classification of the ALMS, ACEMCO Motorsports qualifies thanks to its second place in the overall classification of the ALMS. (5) White Lightning Racing having won the Petit Le Mans and the overall classification of the ALMS, Alex Job Racing qualifies thanks to its second place in the overall classification of the ALMS. (6) The first two entrants, not cars, qualify from the Le Mans Series. The Convers team, third behind two Ferraris entered by BMS Scuderia, therefore qualify as second-highest entrant.
