The weather conditions and the fact that it's Saturday played an important role that so many enthusiasts came to the "Circuito Permanente de Velocidad" in Jerez, although the main attraction is Fernando Alonso.

The Spanish driver is present on the track in Andalusia also to the joy of the organisors, who see crowded grandstands. Fernando drove 61 laps during the first four hours, the fastest in a time of 1.20.436. For the first time in these two sessions the one driver was quicker than 1.19: the reigning world champion Jenson Button with McLaren and a time of 1.18.871.

The tests will end at 5pm: there's more time for more miles before moving on to Barcelona.
