Intense morning for Alonso

Jerez de la Frontera, 11 February 2010

The first part of today’s test session just ended for the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro on the Jerez race track in Andalusia. After yesterday’s rain today the weather improved slightly, although the track was still a little wet during the first 90 minutes.

In front of numerous spectators – there are around 10,000 people present on the grandstand at the "Circuito Permanente de Velocidad" – Fernando Alonso completed an intense programme, culminating in a long run of almost 50 laps, most helpful to collect data on the new tyres’ behaviour with different fuel loads on board. Fernando’s fastest lap time was 1.21.928, driven near the end of the session. The fastest man on the track this morning was the Swiss Sebastian Buemi with Toro Rosso in a time of 1.20.026.
