200 kilometres without problems

The second morning for the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro working at Cheste’s Ricardo Tormo circuit ended just after 1pm. Felipe Massa already completed 56 laps behind the wheel of the F10 on the track just outside Valencia, this means that the new single-seater has been driven more than 630 kilometres in these first eleven hours of the test sessions. Again Felipe was the fastest driver on the track with his fastest lap in a time of 1.11.722. The track conditions have improved while the racing line is more and more rubberised, causing falling lap times getting close to 1.11.000, which is the best lap time so far driven here on this track ever, set by McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen on the occasion of the last tests held here with the F1 teams, in February 2008, with completely different cars and tyres.
Felipe’s impressions are the same as last night: the feeling for the car is great. The test session will proceed in the afternoon, while Fernando Alonso will arrive tomorrow for his official debut behind the wheel of a Ferrari Formula 1 single-seater.
