Test on a dry track

After a short lunch break Valentino Rossi went back onto the track behind the wheel of a F2008 to complete the second day of testing on the Catalan circuit of Montmelò. After the thick fog - due to which the start in the morning for the Champion from Tavullia had to be postponed - had left, the sun came out, drying the track and enabling the technicians from Maranello to fit the car with slicks, which lead to a remarkable improvement of lap times and performance. An extraordinary consultant for Valentino Rossi was Felipe Massa, who arrived in Barcelona today for a test session tomorrow here on the track. The Brazilian driver will sit behind the wheel of the “historical” single-seater brought onto the track by Maranello’s F1 Clienti department to gain confidence with the Formula 1 car after a long break, due to his accident during the qualifying at the Hungarian GP.
