Jean Todt, former Head of the Scuderia and Ferrari CEO, has been nominated FIA President today. In a press release from FOTA Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo declared: "I want to wish Jean Todt all the best for his work. I always appreciated his capacities, his dedication and his loyalty. I’m convinced that under his guidance the Federation will renew itself, reinstall a climate of dialogue and constructive collaboration with the teams and the FOTA, guaranteeing the necessary stability for the rules and the whole environment. Formula 1 is ready for a fresh start into a new era: all the stakeholders have to work together looking ahead, improving the credibility and the interest generated by this sport, accepting the technological and environmental challenge ahead, while keeping the characteristics, which made it to one of the most followed disciplines in the world, untouched.
