Four in a row for Ferrari Fia GT

The unstoppable success series of the F430 GT2 goes on in the international Gran Turismo competitions. At the race on the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit in Castellet, this FIA GT Championship’s seventh run, Ferrari and AF Corse gained with one race to go the constructors’ and teams’ title for the fourth time in a row, while in Monza the extraordinary cars dominated both races in the sixth round of the international GP Open.

On the French track, open to spectators for the first time after ten years, victory went to the car with number 50 of the AF Corse team with the excellent Gimmi Bruni and Toni Vilander behind the wheel. They crossed the line ahead of the Porsche 911 with their all-time rivals Emmanuel Collard and Richard Westbrook, investigated at the end of the race. Also the other F430 from the unbeatable team, with the drivers Niki Cadei – Alvaro Barba Lopez, made it onto the podium. As far as the drivers’ title is concerned the Championship is still open and will be decided on the Belgian Zolder circuit on 25 October and after the stewards’ verdict.

The sixth race of the GT Open Championship, held on the alst weekend in Monza, was dominated in both runs by the Ferrari with Marcel Fässler and Joël Camathias: at the end of the first run the Trottet Racing team drivers crossed the line ahead of the Porsche 911 with Gianluca Roda and Richard Lietz and the Advanced Engineering F430 with Michele Rugolo and Giacomo Ricci, while they won the second run on a podium completely in red ahead of the Ferrari with Raffaele Giammaria-Alessandro Bonetti (Racing Team Edil Cris) and Rugolo-Ricci, crossing the line third again.

The last round of the Spanish series will be held on the Montmelò circuit on the weekend of 1 November
