Misslin dominates in Valencia

Valencia, 27 September 2009

The seventh round of the Ferrari Racing Days just ended at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo circuit with the sixth race of this season for the participants in the European Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli. Apart from the intense racing with the participation of some colleagues from the Italian series - who came to Valencia gaining confidence with the track for the upcoming Finali Mondiali 2009 - new free practice sessions were held with the historical single-seaters taken care off by Maranello’s F1 Clienti department and the cars participating in the exclusive FXX Programme.

Gimmi Bruni, member of the AF Corse team and exceptional coach of the client-drivers behind the wheel of their historical single-seaters, followed the action on the track from up close, before going onto the track for some “hot laps” behind the wheel of the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro 2008 World Champion car, the F2008.

Nicolas Misslin dominated both races of the main class in the Trofeo Pirelli. In race 1 the French driver from the Stradale Automobile team won ahead of Lorenzo Casé (Motor/Piacenza) and the Austrian Philipp Baron (Baron Service), while the order was inverted in race 2, when the Frenchman crossed the line ahead of Baron followed by Casé. Amongst the Coppa Shell gentlemen drivers the top spot on the podium was taken by Jean-Marc Bachelier: the French driver behind the wheel of the F430 from the Motor/Piacenza team won the race ahead of Andrea Crescentini (Motor/Piacenza) and the Hungarian Csaba Spitzmueller (Warm Up). At the end of race 2 it was Andrea Crescentini who crossed the line first ahead of the Frenchman Yannick Mallegol (Stradale Automobile) and once again the Hungarian Csaba Spitzmueller.
